These Terms govern use of Inmate Connect (“Service”), including our website and WhatsApp business line +1 (347) 674-4228. By subscribing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Inmate Connect is a communication platform that helps an inmate and their family exchange messages through the facility’s messaging system, SMS, WhatsApp, and email, and gives the inmate an AI assistant and web & case lookups. Federal legal research, drafting, and court filing are available as separate services, quoted based on case complexity — not included in the messaging subscription. Your subscription pays for access to the messaging platform and its included features — not for the delivery of any specific message. We are an independent service and are not affiliated with the Federal Bureau of Prisons or with any facility messaging provider.
Inmate Connect is a gateway between the facility’s TRULINCS / CorrLinks system and family phones. We provide the Service — messages, lookups, and photo printing — as long as the content aligns with Bureau of Prisons and institution policy. That means approved messages and images, and research or AI answers on topics the facility allows. We do not send or answer anything that would violate those rules.
Your loved one may still be unable to use the Service at a given time for reasons outside our control: CorrLinks or TRULINCS being offline, lockdown, transfer, lack of funds on their TRULINCS account, loss of privileges, or the institution restricting their access. We meet our obligation by keeping Inmate Connect available. Those facility restrictions are not a service outage and are not grounds for a refund.
If Inmate Connect itself is down, we will credit that downtime.
Paid plans and their prices are shown on the subscribe page before you pay. By subscribing you authorize us, through our payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method the plan amount shown at checkout, and to automatically renew and re-charge that same amount each billing period (every 1, 3, or 6 months, depending on the plan you choose) until you cancel. The price and renewal interval are the ones displayed at checkout.
Charges appear on your card statement as INMATE CONNECT. You receive an emailed receipt for every charge, including each renewal.
Legal research and drafting fees are separate, one-time payments based on a quote for the requested work. You authorize us to charge the amount you enter and confirm at checkout. These payments do not renew and do not buy or extend messaging service.
You can cancel anytime. Use Manage subscription on the subscribe page (register number + the email on your Stripe receipt), or the link on your post-checkout receipt — or contact support below with your register number. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues through the end of the period you already paid for.
All payments are non-refundable. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial subscription periods, unused time, third-party delivery failures, or legal research and drafting work begun after payment. Cancelling stops future subscription charges; it does not refund a charge already made. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support and we will investigate.
The Service is provided “as is.” Your subscription buys access to the platform, not guaranteed message delivery. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or timely delivery. Message delivery depends on third parties (the facility messaging system, carriers, and Meta/WhatsApp) and on facility rules, all outside our control, and is not a condition of your subscription fee.
Inmate Connect is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation. Legal research and drafting services are document-support services based on the information supplied to us; they do not create an attorney-client relationship or guarantee any court outcome.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Inmate Connect is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.
